I hate it when websites offering services hide rates.

To save all of us time, here are my approximate rates for any of the below services, subject to change at any time:

First hour C$125.00
Subsequent hours C$95.00

An experienced writer or editor may look expensive, but can produce better results in fewer hours.

A few conditions:

1. Rates for steady, ongoing work are negotiable.
2. I do not do sample writing, or sample edits.
3. I require a contract and a deposit before starting work.
4. I do not differentiate in billing for substantive editing, structural editing, copyeding, and proofreading. My time is the same.
5. If you do not understand the differences between these levels of editing, please learn them. Or I can help you get a grasp on them at my standard rates.

Writing & Editing: I deliver clear, concise copy to effectively communicate your message. I’ve worked at major media corporations, and have board and executive experience with business organizations, community groups, and environmental NGOs.

Photography: I’m an experienced photographer, specializing in event, nature, and wildlife photography.
