A quick stop at Porteau Cove on the Sea to Sky on my way home from an overnight camping trip.
Now that we’re allowed to travel within Fraser & Coastal Health regions, I took a one-night camping trip to Nairn Falls Provincial Park. As usual, one of the highlights was One Mile Lake.
Now that we’re allowed to travle within two regional health zones, I took an overnight camping trip to Nairn Falls. I walked around One Mile Lake yesterday evening and this morning, and was elated to photograph an Osprey both times.
Very diffent sky in the evening and morning shots. . .
Taking a fish
An assortment of buzzers and bugs in and around Byrne Creek and Taylor Park in SE Burnaby, BC.
Spotted two Anna’s Hummingbirds in Taylor Park in SE Burnaby, BC, in their usual spots again.
I heard some crows making a racket and figured they were harassing a raptor.
Sure enough, I eventually made out this hawk (Red-tailed?) in a tree.
After awhile the crows flushed the hawk, and it flew to a light standard above the Skytrain maintenance yard, where the crows continued to dog it.
I’ve been hearing woodpeckers on my daily walks but despite the noise they make, they can be hard to spot. I finally got some shots of this Downy Woodpecker in Taylor Park in SE Burnaby, BC, today.
A birding first for me. A Cinnamon Teal playing peekaboo in a marshy area at Centennial Beach in Delta, BC, this morning.
Crows often have it in for raptors, and one was giving this Bald Eagle a chase this morning at Centennial Beach in Delta, BC.
