Here are a few miscellaneous beasts from today’s Fraser Foreshore Park walk, in addition to the previous hawk, eagle, and woodpecker albums. It was great fun, but I’m tired!

We took a walk in Byrne Creek Ravine Park after the hailstorm had passed in SE #Burnaby today. The air was so crisp and clean!

Had a great time photographing this Downy Woodpecker on the trail at Fraser Foreshore Park in south #Burnaby today. Folks being good to maintain physical distancing.

Someone had left a pile of mixed bird seed on a downed tree, and the Downy was picking up sunflower seeds and stashing them in cavities in nearby standing trees.

Great Blue Heron fishing from a log boom off Fraser Foreshore Park in SE #Burnaby today. I’d say it was batting around .700 . . .
