We had the good fortune to spot two Peregrine Falcons on the aptly named Raptor Trail at Centennial Beach in Delta, BC, today.
I think this is only the second time in my life that I’ve shot this species. Goodness they are gorgeous!

I swung by Taylor Park in SE #Burnaby, BC, on the way home from the bi-monthly recycling trip to the Burnaby EcoCentre this afternoon.
Took a stroll to Byrne Creek in south #Burnaby this afternoon. Spotted a few birds and some cool patterns.

Despite the wet, gloomy weather, I walked the lower portion of Byrne Creek in Burnaby, mostly because I was curious to see how high the river and creek were with the highest tide of the month and the rain.
This is a few meters upstream of the flap gates at the mouth of the creek

It was blustery and chilly at Iona Beach Regional Park near YVR, so I didn’t tarry, but I did get some shots of Snow Geese and a hawk.
I love raptors ‘n herons. This hawk was way up a tree at the southwest end of the meadow near the Historic Stewart Farm in south Surrey, BC.

This Belted Kingfisher was not very approachable. We played follow the leader for about half an hour today near Historic Stewart Farm in south Surrey, BC, before it tired me out!
