I came across this wee Anna’s Hummingbird near Taylor Park in SE #Burnaby. It looked tiny and I wondered if it was perhaps a juvenile. It also looke sleepy. . . I hope it wasn’t ill. . .

Raccoon Eating Cherries in South Burnaby BC
I followed the sound of crows attempting murder ( : – ) and found them harassing this raccoon up in a tree eating cherries near the Byrne Creek dyke in south Burnaby, BC.
As I was approaching the parking lot, I heard another bunch of mobbing crows, and spotted another raccoon about 15 meters up a tree.

I spent a few hours ramlbing Iona Beach Regional Park today, and while I’m usually looking for birds, I love photographing any other wildlife that catches my eye, including bees, wasps, and bugs.
I took over 300 shots of this Blue-eyed Darner in flight to get a dozen usable shots.
