Flicker, Eagles, Swallows ’n More in Burnaby

I hit Piper Spit on Burnaby Lake, did a circumrambulation of Deer Lake, and ended today’s photo Odyssey at Fraser Foreshore Park, all in Burnaby, BC.

I ran into a few photographers, several interested in my Manfrotto monopod. It adds some stability to Big Bertha, while being much lighter than a full tripod. I have quick-release plates mounted on all my cameras and the big lens. All photos shot with  a Nikon Z50II and a Nikkor Z 180-600mm zoom lens.

Swallows are fast and do amazing aerobatics, so it’s a fun challenge to photograph them on the wing. . . .
