We enjoyed watching this European Starling using a cavity in old piling in the river off the boardwalk in New Westminster, BC.

New Westminster Bees n Blossoms
There were several kinds of bees and lots of blossoms on the boardwalk in New Westminster. Also great to see Mason Bee boxes with full tubes.

A lovely Anna’s Hummingbird on our walk today.
Nesting Robin, House Finches, Fraser Foreshore Burnaby
I spotted a nesting American Robin at Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby today. I took a couple of quick photos with a long telephoto lens and then backed off.
One, I didn’t want to frighten it, and, two, I didn’t want to point it out to potential predators. Yes, other birds and animals will watch to see what you’re watching. . .
Also saw several musical House Finches.

There were several Barn Swallows hanging around a garden shop in south Burnaby.
