It was a lovely afternoon for a photo ramble in Garry Point Park in Steveston, BC.
I watched this shot shaping up for ten or twenty minutes. The kite passed by in front of the Fisherman’s Memorial many times, and I waited until it looked like it would thread the needle.
Forgot to post this garter snake that we saw near a trail to the west of the Stewart Heritage Farm in south Surrey, BC, the other day.
Yumi is really good at hearing them rustling in the undergrowth and spotting them. She saw a couple more that day, but this is the only one I got a decent shot of.
We had a lovely stroll in Fraser Foreshore Park today. See the previous post for a gallery of heron photos. I’ll throw in a cool spider, a towhee, and some other stuff in this post.
A Happy Canada Day from a sleepy Sora the Cat. Chilling out on this rainy day watching a lemon octopus pasta creation on TV Japan. I’m sure Sora would love octopus, doubtful about the lemon ;-).
UPDATE: Well, this has been the dreariest Canada Day in my memory .
Overcast, raining, and staying home.
For much of the day, we emulated Sora the Cat and snoozed, and watched too much TV. . .
Sora was a lovely lass, alternating laps and sharing her warmth with both of us. Thanks, kid!
