Cute Raccoon in Byrne Creek Ravine Park

A few minutes after I started out on my Byrne Creek ravine walk in SE Burnaby, BC, this morning, I heard several crows doing an intruder alert.

I followed the noise, suspecting they were harrassing an owl or a hawk, but I had trouble spotting anything.

As I wriggled my way closer through the bush, I finally noticed a lump on the tree the crows were focused on, and eventually it became evident the lump had a ringed tail, and then this face came into focus 🙂.
