Iona Beach Regional Park lunch menu.  We saw a pair of Bald Eagles team up to take down a duck along the shoreline, and then take it out to a log in the water to eat.

I lugged a couple of cameras around Deer Lake in Burnaby, BC today. Here are some of the results:

In addition to the eagles and the barn owl that were highlights of our day in Delta, BC, today, we also saw several Northern Harriers, Finches, Robins, and Towhees.

Not a huge number of eagles in Delta, BC, today, but lots of good shooting. . .

We walked the forest and fields of the Historic Stewart Farm in south Surrey, BC. Lots of birds!

Anna’s Hummingbird. Of course it wouldn’t sit still but when it was momentarily enchanted by Yumi’s bright red Santa toque, I got this shot.

Cold and wet, but worth waiting as the sun went down in Fraser Foreshore Park in south Burnaby today.

It’s rewarding when you visit places and see the same animals in nearly the exact spots you’ve seen them before. I guess all creatures are creatures of habit.

I’ve seen this Red-Tailed Hawk several times now in Fraser Foreshore Park in south Burnaby, BC, each time in the same tree.
