We walked the beach at White Rock, BC, today, and went to the end of the pier as well. Lots of bird species to see!

UPDATE: Yup, the hive mind at iNaturalist confirms Black Turnstone. Yay, a new species!
As we were driving back to Burnaby today I got a few shots of a lovely moon from the Alex Fraser Bridge and from south Burnaby.
While I enjoy driving, it’s great having Yumi take the wheel so I can relax and appreciate the trip.
We took a walk along the beach and out to the end of the White Rock pier and back. Lovely light. . .
A cold wet walk yielded lots of bird life at Fraser Foreshore Park in SE #Burnaby, BC, today.

So we’re having a walk in Fraser Foreshore Park in south #Burnaby, and we spot some Eurasian Collared Doves.
I said to Yumi, “I think they’re going to kiss.”
And they did.
At least that’s what my romantic, anthropomorphizing mind likes to think, eh? 
Initially we saw few birds on our Brea Island ramble, but eventually came across a few.
There were four or five Brown Creepers hanging out together at one spot.

Red-breasted Sapsucker. It wouldn’t sit still for more than a few seconds at a time, so this fuzzy shot is the best one I got.
We walked to Tavistock Point on Brea Island near Ft. Langley, BC.
Lovely views despite the cold and cloudy day.
We had the good fortune to spot two Peregrine Falcons on the aptly named Raptor Trail at Centennial Beach in Delta, BC, today.
I think this is only the second time in my life that I’ve shot this species. Goodness they are gorgeous!
Days are getting longer!
I swung by Taylor Park in SE #Burnaby, BC, on the way home from the bi-monthly recycling trip to the Burnaby EcoCentre this afternoon.
Running some backups tonight I ran across this photo.
Edmonds City Fair in #Burnaby in 2018. I was hired as the event photographer, and my friend Lori Geosits saw me and got this shot of moi loaded with gear.
A couple of Nikon DSLRs with short and long zoom lenses, and a belt pack full of flash units and extra batteries.
It will be great to have such events again some day. Stay safe, folks. . .
