I spotted this Pileated Woodpecker way up high picking berries at Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby, BC, and took dozens of shots trying to get a clear view.
Eventually I continued on a loop of the meadow and the off-channel habitat. Nearly an hour later as I was returning to the car, there it was, or a friend, steps from our vehicle.
